I understand the struggles students face. Spanish is my native language, but I have learned English, French, and Portuguese.  When I practice my foreign languages, I don’t enjoy copying word lists, practicing fake conversations, or spending time on irrelevant topics. I won’t do that to you as my student. 

When I teach, I focus on authentic language and lots of meaningful interaction.

I like to laugh in class and hope that my students do too. I balance correcting mistakes with building confidence. Overall, I focus on helping you improve your ability to communicate effectively with others.

PayPal is preferred as it offers protection and convenience. I will also accept Venmo. 

Payment is due before each class. 

If you’d like homework, then yes! I generally recommend doing some practice on your own, and I will provide activities ranging including worksheets, news articles, watching episodes of popular tv shows, or even listening to music. 

It all depends on your interests and your goals. 

I can absolutely teach you specialized content. 

I have worked with business executives, school teachers, researchers, speech-language pathologists, diplomats, nurses, and travelers. Everyone has their own goals, and I’m happy to help you achieve them. 

Specialized content may have a different rate (which I will let you know about up front) as I may need to invest time learning technical language. For example, helping you prepare a post-doctoral research presentation on using big-data to understand climate change is considered “specialized content.”
